In some eagerly awaited news, Universal has finally set a
date for the release of the next installment on the Fast and the Furious
Movies. With the death of actor Paul Walker at the end of November in a
horrific car crash in a Southern California Industrial Park, filming of 7th
film has hit major snags. Thankfully with Walker’s younger brother stepping
into the roll for his brother, which will be shot at long distance, and use CGI
effects to correct visuals, the movie studio may have avoided biting the bullet
on this its biggest movie franchise. The
first to find out about the new release date were fans of Vin Diesel’s Facebook
page where he announced a release date of April 15th, 2015 for the
sequel.
Previously fans have watched the other Fast and Furious through
download movie options or in the
theatres, and it has generated major income for the studio, to the tune of $2.3
billion dollars worldwide. And Vin Diesel has hinted that there may be a further
3 or 4 movies yet to come. Of course that was before Walker’s death and the
studio may have to readjust its forecasts for the future of the action
franchise with the massive global following.
Fast and the Furious 6 now Available
Fans of the last movie which came out in the summer of this year
will now be able to download movie
content from the film in the New Year. The movie is another heist and action
film, having long since abandoned its principal Los Angeles street racing
theme, and takes place in worldwide locations such as London, and Spain. This
was used to great effect in Fast Five, which was another awesome heist movie
which was set in Brazil. The next movie in the franchise is rumoured to be
using Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to film its climatic
ending sequences. These were the shots which Paul Walker did not live long
enough to shoot.
